Mission Statement:
Be first line technical and provide mentorship and support to the technicians.
Oversee and lead the workshop into a world class manner, plan and execute tasks in set time frame. Using the correct workshop procedures and implementing processes to enable better utilization for the workshop in a safe and quality manner.
Main Responsibilities or Functions of the Job:
-Apply the workflow process to repair a component or a machine
Assist in capacity planning and monitoring repair flow to satisfy schedule requirements
Complete appropriate paperwork for work orders and repair evaluations
Elaborate recommended list of common wear parts for rebuilding a component or machine
Evaluate and analyze critical or costly failures in a component or machine rebuild
Execute the component/machine rebuild by using the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Lead site improvement initiatives in the worksite area.
Responsible for maintaining and calibration tools and instruments
Responsible for preparing failure analysis reports for component/machine repairs
Take ownership and responsibility for the condition of the workshop and equipment.
Work with parts and repairs to determine warranty failures.
Requirements (Education and experience)
- Degree in Mining Engineering or any Engineering equivalent.
