Job Description


Powering Young Initiatives is working with Restless Development on the Youth Aim Power Project which focuses on promoting green awareness on CDF transparency and accountability and AMREF Y-act a Coalition for Tobacco Control Advocacy in Zambia which brings together 10 organizations dedicated to battling tobacco’s negative effects and promote more effective tobacco control policies in Zambia.

We also have Eco-Inclusive Enterprise Development Program that focuses on environmentally Friendly strategies to renew or restore ecosystem, Promoting sustainability and ecological Health.

We are for looking serious and Dedicated Young individuals aged between 30-35 People to Volunteer  with Powering Young Initiatives on the Projects Mentioned above.

Community Programs Volunteers x 3

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • To be responsible for the community activities of the PYI and implementing community outreach programs, organizing events, town hall meetings and publicity stunts
  • Ensuring that the outreach missions are meeting their objectives and staying within the PYIs policy
  • Ensuring that the outreach missions are meeting their objectives and staying within budget.
  • Use media events, public events, and group activities to portray a positive image on behalf of the organization.
  • Resolving conflicts, misunderstandings the company may have with its various constituents and manage the relationship with community members and other key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with members of the community

QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate in development studies, sociology, social work, community development or public relations
  • Knowledge of community psychology and experience designing programs that meet the goals of outreach programs.
  • Knowledge in Climate Change and Entrepreneurship
  • Knowledge advocacy and Accountability
  • Great interpersonal skills, which should include community relations

Volunteer Bookkeeper/Office Manager 2

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding accounting best practices
  • High attention to detail
  • Produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Professionalism and organization skills
  • Associate Diploma or at least one year of experience
  • Knowledge of Accounts applications
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget
  • Recording of Debits and Credits
  • Record financial transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Manage bank feeds
  • Handle accounts receivable
  • Handle accounts payable
  • Work with your tax preparer and assist with tax compliance.

Qualifications

  • Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Credits or better in five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English
  • Diploma in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Membership Affiliation with relevant professional institutions.
