Job Description
Tractor Operator reporting to the Land Clearing Supervisor x 6
Among other responsibilities, you are expected to:
- Driving and carrying out regular maintenance and repairs of Tractors
- Operating Tractors safely and efficiently
- Performing inspections of Tractors and attachments like graders, rollers, and plows, and ensuring they are well-lubricated
- Using Tractors to transport materials and pull or push agricultural equipment
- Operating tractors with laser leveling equipment to prepare fields
- Reporting any faults or concerns to the Land Clearing supervisor and other relevant stakeholders
- Remaining alert while driving and servicing the tractor, and always maintaining the appropriate speed limit
- Completing minor repairs on tractor and farm equipment
If you have the following:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Proven work experience as a tractor operator
- A relevant driver’s license
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and integrity.
