Job purpose of lecturer in all instances:-
Applicants are advised that in all instances, lecturers are expected to teach, assess student performance, conduct research, publish and undertake academic-related responsibilities and to carry out community service. This applies to all lecturer positions hereby advertised.
1. SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES
a) Lecturer of Health Policy and Management (1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits
ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Public Health degree or related health science discipline from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Must have a Master of Public Health degree (with a specialty in Health Policy and Management) from a reputable and accredited University
iv. Possession of a PhD in the relevant discipline will be an added advantage
v. Must have functional computer literacy
vi. Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at University level will be added advantage
vii. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
b) Lecturer of Medical Statistics/Biostatistics (1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits or better
ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or related health science discipline from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Must have a Master of Science degree in Medical Statistics/Biostatistics from a reputable and accredited University
iv. Must have functional computer literacy
v. Possession of PhD in the relevant discipline will be an added advantage
vi. A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at University level will also be added advantage
vii. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
c) Lecturer of Internal Medicine (re-advertised 1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Must have an earned Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine degree from a reputable and accredited University or its recognized equivalence by ZAQA stipulation
iv. Must be computer literate
v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage
vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
vii. A PhD in Internal Medicine will equally be an added advantage
viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
d) Lecturer of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (re-advertised – 1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Must have an earned Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology degree from a reputable and accredited University or its recognized equivalence by ZAQA stipulation
iv. Must be computer literate
v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage
vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
vii. A PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology will be an added advantage as well
viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
e) Lecturer of Human Pathology (1 position to be on contract)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have an earned Bachelor of Science in Physiology or health field such as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), BVM, Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Nursing Sciences from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Must have an earned Master of Science in Human Physiology from a reputable and accredited University
iv. Must be computer literate
v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage
vi. Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
vii. A PhD in Physiology will be equally be an added advantage
viii. Must have a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
2.SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY
a) Lecturer of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing (1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have a Diploma in Registered Nursing, Registered Midwifery, Registered Mental Health Nursing
iii. Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Midwifery
iv. Must have a Master of Science degree in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing
v. A Diploma/Certificate in Teaching Methodology will be an added advantage
vi. A PhD will be also be an added advantage
vii. Must have two (2) years’ experience of teaching in a Higher Education Institution
viii. Must have a valid practicing license/registration from the relevant regulatory authority
b) Lecturer Human Anatomy (1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have a Diploma in Registered Nursing or Registered Midwifery
iii. Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or Midwifery

3. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
Lecturer of Information and Communication Technology (1 position)
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 Credits
ii. Must have an earned Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (with preferred specialization in Software Engineering, Computer Networking, Machine Learning, or Data Science) with a Merit or better from a reputable and recognized university
iii. Must have an earned Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field from a recognized university
iv. Must have functional computer skills
v. Must have proof of research and publications
vi. Possession of a PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related will be an added advantage
vii. Teaching experience at university level will also be an added advantage
viii. Must have a valid membership with the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
4. MANAGEMENT SECRETARY I (1 position)
Job purpose:-
To provide high level secretarial and other related services to Senior Officers in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits or better that must include English Language
ii. Must have a Diploma in Secretarial and Office Management
iii. Must have a speed of 100/120 wpm in Shorthand and a speed of 55/65 wpm in Typewriting
iv. Must have high computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
v. Must have at least five (5) years practical work experience in a reputable organization at the level of Personal Assistant
vi. Must be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Secretaries
5. ACCOUNTANT (2 positions)
Job purpose:-
The two Accountants will have separate roles; one will be responsible for payments to all suppliers and other creditors and will be expected to produce financial statements when required to do so, while the other will be in charge of Costing and Ledger.
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have a University degree in Accountancy or a full professional accounting qualification of ACCA/CIMA/ZICA
iii. Must have at least five (5) years of post-qualification experience
iv. Must be able to produce financial statements
v. Must have good numerical skills for analysis
vi. Must have functional computer literacy skills
vii. Must be proficient in modern accounting packages such as Sage 300, Excel, Power point and Word
viii. Must be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with a valid practicing license
6. ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (1 position)
Job purpose:-
To assist the Accountant in the collection of revenues and analyzing all the financial aspects of Schools, Centres, Institutes, Business Centre and the University Farm.
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have a University degree in Accountancy or a full professional accounting qualification of ACCA/CIMA/ZICA
iii. Must be able to produce financial statements
iv. Must have good numerical skills for analysis
v. Must have functional computer literacy skills
vi. Must be proficient in modern accounting packages such as Sage 300, Excel, Power point and Word
vii. At least three (3) years of post-qualification experience
viii. Effective oral and written communication skills
ix. Emotionally stable, sober and able to work under pressure
x. A fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with a valid practicing license
7. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Job purpose:-
To be responsible for the installation, implementation and maintenance of software and hardware solutions to meet the requirements of Mulungushi University.
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credit that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
iii. Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ work experience
iv. Must have Professional Certifications, preferably LPIC-1 or higher, MCSA
8. AQUACULTURE TECHNICIAN (1 position)
Job purpose:-
To support daily operations of the aquaculture facility. The ideal candidate will assist with fish cultivation, maintain equipment and monitor water quality.
Job requirements:-
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits
ii. Must have a Diploma in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or a related field
iii. Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in Aquaculture or Aquatic Animal Husbandry
iv. Must be familiar with aquaculture equipment and systems
v. Must have strong observational skills and attention to detail
vi. Must have physical ability to perform hands-on tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments
vii. Must be proficient in data recording and basic computer skills
