1.      JOB TITLE: E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager – Laboratory Supplies & Life Science Products (1 Position)

Location: Lusaka

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager to develop, manage, and grow our online platform for laboratory supplies and life science products. This role involves building and maintaining an e-commerce website, managing digital sales channels, optimizing user experience, and creating compelling online content. The successful candidate will also be responsible for social media management, website content updates, and digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

1. E-Commerce Platform Development & Management

Lead the development and management of the company’s e-commerce website for laboratory and life science products.
Optimize website layout, navigation, and product categorization for an enhanced user experience.
Implement and maintain a secure online payment gateway and checkout process.
Ensure product listings are accurate, complete, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with developers for improvements.

2. Digital Sales & Marketing Strategy

Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase online sales.
Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings for product pages and blog content.
Manage Google Ads, PPC campaigns, and remarketing strategies to boost sales and lead generation.
Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and conversion rates to optimize marketing strategies.
Collaborate with the sales team to align digital marketing efforts with business goals.

3. Website & Content Management

Regularly update website content, including product descriptions, blog articles, and landing pages.
Write and edit engaging website content that enhances product visibility and attracts potential buyers.
Ensure all digital content aligns with brand messaging and industry standards.
Monitor website analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console) to track visitor engagement and conversions.

4. Social Media Management

Develop and execute a social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Create and schedule engaging posts, graphics, and videos to showcase products and industry insights.
Manage social media advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build an online community of industry professionals.

5. Customer Experience & Support

Implement and oversee live chat, chatbots, and customer support features for online shoppers.
Improve customer journey by ensuring fast response times and a seamless purchasing experience.
Collect and analyze customer feedback to enhance e-commerce usability.

6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, sales, conversion rates, and customer retention.
Generate detailed reports on website and marketing performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Recommend data-driven strategies to enhance digital marketing ROI.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in e-commerce management, digital marketing, or online sales, preferably in laboratory supplies, life sciences, or a related industry.
Technical Skills:
Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento).
Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, PPC, and social media advertising.
Familiarity with website management tools such as WordPress, CMS platforms, and HTML/CSS.
Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and digital performance tracking tools.
Marketing & Content Skills:
Strong copywriting and content creation abilities for web pages and social media.
Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) are a plus.
Ability to create engaging product descriptions and promotional materials.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Business Development Manager to support the growth and expansion of our Laboratory Supplies & Life Science Products division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, strategic sales skills, and market intelligence to develop and execute business strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales Support

Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the laboratory supplies and life sciences market.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
Support in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Assist in preparing business proposals, quotations, and tenders for potential clients.

Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

Provide feedback and insights on market demands, customer preferences, and product performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role in the laboratory supplies or life sciences sector.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory equipment, consumables, and life science research products is an advantage.

Skills:

Strong sales and negotiation skills.
