Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional passionate about inventory management? Our Client is looking for a Stores Officer to maintain efficient stock control, conduct audits, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Apply now and be part of a dynamic team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing warehouse stock, ensuring efficient inventory control, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Accurately record stock movements and initiate restocking as needed.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly stock checks and prepare inventory reports.
  • Implement and enhance internal inventory controls, including monitoring minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Perform spot checks and stock audits, investigating discrepancies.
  • Ensure the timely supply of stock to various business units.
  • Prepare and maintain essential inventory documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Delivery Notes (DN), and Purchase Requisitions (PR).
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity, ensuring alignment with delivery notes.
  • Apply FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) storage methods.
  • Oversee warehouse waste management and damaged product claims.
    Maintain accurate system entries for inventory received, issued, or transferred.
  • Supervise warehouse team members and enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in stores management or inventory control.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations.
