Job Description
ORYX Energies S.A “OESA” is one of Africa’s largest and longest established independent providers of oil and gas products and services. In pursuit of its business strategies in Zambia, the company invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position mentioned below, to join its team at ORYX Energies Zambia Ltd “OEZL”, based on the Copperbelt and Lusaka.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Depots & Logistics Manager and will be in charge of stock management activities in adherence with The OESA Group policies.
The Stocks Controller will be based in Ndola.
Job Function:
Development and Implementation of an effective product Supply Chain programme, combining both operations, logistics and financial elements.
Keep to executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Assist in improving processes in support of the organizational goals.
Collaborates with procurement department to determine best supplier rates.
Ensure compliance to HSSEQ, local authority, local and ISO standards requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
Develop inventory control models that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead times, and reduced stock levels
Engage in the forecast of supply and demand to obtain information useful in improving the continuity of supply chain

Daily tracking of cargoes and updating of tracking reports
Promoting synergies between supply chain partners i.e., customs, transporters, suppliers and depots.
Daily preparation and sharing of consolidated stocks reports
Processing of Stocks orders
Preparation of obsolete stock reports
Ensure that each stock is received and posted in the sage system immediately
Prepare stock loss claim summary for every cargo received and ensure the amount is claimed from the supplier / transporter.
Facilitate month-end stock counts and ensure that any differences are reconciled and resolved quickly.
Perform random audit checks on sites and verify the system balance with physical check

Minimum Education /Tertiary Qualification
Commercial or Technical Degree or Equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience, preferably in stock management.
Oil and Gas industry exposure will be added advantage.
Know how, Experience and Skills Required:

Proficient in MS office applications – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc..
