Job Title:  Station Manager

Location: Livingstone

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Station Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our radio station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, operations management, and team coordination to ensure smooth and efficient station functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:
– Oversee the daily operations of the station to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
– Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

2. Staff Management:
– Lead, mentor, and manage station staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
– Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
– Handle any staff-related issues or conflicts in a professional and timely manner.

3. Customer Service:
– Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and addressing customer inquiries and complaints.
– Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and experience.

4. Sales and Marketing:

– Identify and generate new leads through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.
– Coordinate with the marketing team to promote the station and its services.
– Represent the station at public events, meetings, and industry conferences.
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and the community.

5. Safety and Maintenance:
– Ensure the station is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
– Oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
– Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.

6. Reporting and Communication:
– Prepare and submit regular reports on station performance, operations, and other relevant metrics.
– Maintain open and effective communication with senior management.
– Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure the station remains competitive.

Qualifications:

– Certificate in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Bachelors Degree holders will be an added advantage
– Proven experience in a managerial role, within the industry
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
