SMECH Engineering Services Zambia Limited, a company subcontracted by NAVA Energy Zambia Limited – C/O Maamba Collieries Limited, In the operation and Maintenance (O&M) of a 2*150 MW Thermal Power Plant located in Maamba, Zambia is looking for suitable candidates to recruit for the following positions:
1. Turbine Field Operations x3
Qualification
Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years field O&M experience in Steam Turbines of Thermal Power plants.
2. Boiler Field Operations X 3
Qualification
Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years field O&M experience in Broiler of Thermal Power plants.
3. Balance of Plant (BOP) Operations X2
Qualification
Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years field O&M experience in Compressors, Pumps, ESP and Ash Handling Plant of related Industry.
4. Pump House Operations X2
Qualification
Craft/Diploma Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
1-3 years O&M experience in pumping & water system of related industry.
5. Mechanical Maintenance Technician X2
Qualification
Craft in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years field maintenance experience in Mechanical equipment of industry.
6. CHP Field Operations X4
Qualification
Craft/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years field O&M experience in Coal/Lime/any Material Handling Plant of related industry.
7. Electrical Operations x2
Qualification
Diploma/Graduate in Electrical Engineering
Experience
1-3 years O&M experience in Electrical Switchgear/switch yard/Transmission lines of related industry.
8. Instrumentation (C&I) Maintenance Technician x2
Qualification
Craft Certificate/Diploma in Instrumentation
Experience
1-3 years maintenance experience in instrumentation of related industry.
9. Chemist X1
Qualification
Diploma/B.S.c in Chemistry
Experience
1-3 years in O&M, sampling & Chemical analysis of water, coal & ash in related industry.
10. HR Officer X1
Qualification
Diploma in Human Resource
Experience
1-3 years experience in HR activity in related industry.
Method of Application
Candidates that have the right qualifications but with no or little experience can also apply and can be recruited as trainees for six months before taking up substantive appointment based on performance.
