Book Now Zambia is a proven technology company with several rapidly growing product offerings in the Zambian Public and Private  sector with flagship products such as electronic tolling (eTolls) and electronic levies (eLevy), as well as Private Sector driven by products such as electronic fuel (eFuel). We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Developer who can tackle both frontend and backend development to take on the next gen. systems that we are locally developing and pushing to the next level.  The areas required can be summarized as follows:

1)  Web Application Developer with proficiency at the following

a. Design and development of API layers

b. Modern frontend development (React.js or react native, Angular, Bootstrap 3 or 4)

c. Backend development (PHP) and Databases (Relational Database – MySQL / Non-relational Database -Mongo DB)

d. Business Intelligence Packages, AI and Analytics Reporting Tools

2) System Administrator with proficiency at the following would be a plus;

a. Demonstrated experience working with AWS, Gitlab and related technologies

b. Maintenance, configuration and management of operating systems, network servers and virtual servers

c. Virtualization with oversight on infrastructure capacity, storage planning, and database performance

d. Conversant with automated applications deployment processes

e. Installation and upgrading of computer hardware components and software

f. Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

3) The following would be a plus;

a. Mobile App Development Experience- (Android app developer, iOS app developer)

b. Good at UI and UX design and Good customer support

The right candidates will have production experience (of 7 or more years) in the tech areas mentioned above as a lead developer, be self motivated, be a vocal team member, be fiercely interested in the evolving landscape of development. The right candidate will be a team leader with good communication skills that will motivate those around them.
