Job Purpose
To lead and execute strategic planning initiatives aimed at optimizing land governance frameworks and contribute to the organization’s mission of leveraging technology and innovative approaches to empower communities and enhance land rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing oversight of the team to ensure adherence to company policies and optimal delivery of outputs and targets.
- Allocating and coordinating resources to ensure smooth and efficient running of departmental operations.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with planning authorities nationwide and other stakeholders for the purpose of obtaining necessary approvals and data.
- Ensuring the accurate, efficient and timely digitisation of land parcels for the purpose of field work and subsequent production of layout and land use maps.
- Ensuring outputs conform to Planning regulations and standards.
- Ensuring the timely generation of layout maps as well as other maps that may be deemed necessary for project work.
- Developing strategic plans for attainment of organisation goals.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ with credit or better in Mathematics and English.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Environmental Studies or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in related roles.
