Job Description
Employment Opportunity- Senior Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Executive Chef in developing and standardizing new recipes.
- Assists the Executive Chef in the areas of food festivals, menu planning and pricing.
- Works closely with the Procurment Manager for developing standard purchase specifications for various items.
- Ensures regular monitoring of clients’ feedback, prompt, efficient and accurate service to all customers along with the best quality products.
- Stays informed about the new developments in the world of cuisine, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment etc.
- Ensures that the kitchen is properly staffed and assists in supervising, training and monitoring of kitchen staff.
- Demonstrates proper usage of kitchen equipment and correct cooking techniques to kitchen staff.
- Ensures that all kitchen staff follows sanitation rules and regulations as well as safety standards.
- Undertakes any other relevant tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma in Food Production
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in Intl. Organisations,/Hotels
- Has led or assisted in leading a team of at least10 chefs.
- Banquet and Event Catering experience of up to 500 pax or more
- Capable of adapting and learning new procedures, implementing recipes etc.
- Food Cost conscious.
- Capable of calculating Quantities as needed on a daily basis.
- if possible experience in in-flight catering
- Computer literate.
