SECURITY MANAGER – ZAMHATCH MPONGWE (1)
Overall Job Purpose
This role is responsible for monitoring the security operations for the organization or Company as well as to hire new members of staff and delegate tasks and duties to them. One of the main duties is to check and monitor the access control of people who are visiting the Company.
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedure.
- Recruit, Train and Supervise Security Officers and guards.
- Attend meetings with other Managers or determine operational needs.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
- Review reports on incidents and breaches.
- Coordinate Staff when responding to emergencies and alarms.
- Investigate and resolve issues / incidents.
- Create reports for management on security status
- Analyse data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)
- Keeping track of different events
- Implementing security protocols.
- Creating emergency response
- Supervising security staff members
- Conducting security evaluations.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Proven experience as Security Manager or similar position.
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis.
- Working knowledge of MS office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Committed and reliable.
- Grade 12 School Certificate, further education in security and administration or similar field will be an asset.
