Job description:

Overall Job Purpose:

The job purpose of a security investigator is to conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, incidents, or suspicious activities to safeguard assets, personnel, and sensitive information within the organization.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations into security incidents and breaches occurring within mining operations.
• Gather and preserve evidence related to security breaches or incidents for analysis and reporting.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies or external security providers
• Conduct interrogations to gather information related to security incidents
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security activities and incidents

Key Job Attributes:

The ability to meticulously analyse and investigate security incidents, ensuring comprehensive protection of assets and personnel within the mining sector through proactive measures and thorough reporting.

Experience required to perform in this job:

• A solid background in conducting detailed security assessments.
• Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in investigating thefts, vandalism, and safety breaches, as well as collaborating effectively with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
• Familiarity with industry-specific security protocols.

Qualifications:

• Full grade twelve (G12) certificate.
• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Law, Criminal Justice, Security and Intelligence Management, or any relevant social science in a related field.
• Must have a minimum of at least three (03) years of experience in Security Investigations related field.
• Must have experience in Security for either Law enforcement (CID), Corporate Security investigations, or Private Security Company bias investigations.
• Military or Police, Corporate Security Investigations background will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of the Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of the Laws of Zambia.
