Sales Officer Job Responsibilities:
Builds business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients. Acts as an intermediary between the company and the clientele. Makes necessary phone calls and meetings to push sales.
Sales Officer Job Duties:
• Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
• Persists in sales even in the face of failure
• Schedules appointments and meetings as necessary
• Answers questions from clients
• Makes product knowledge readily available to self and other sales people through various resources
• Finds ways to sell products/services in the face of a down market
• Researches client base to find new types of customers and sells to them accordingly
• Creates a plan for gaining customers and then retaining them
• Analyses and creates a plan for engaging the target market
• Analyses the competition to create a plan for engagement
• Demonstrates superior time management skills and meets sales deadlines
• Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
• Identifies service improvements or new services by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
