Job Description


Tumeny is a fast-growing fintech company that simplifies online payments and customer conversations for enterprises, SMEs and developers. We offer one platform for managing online payments, SMS messaging, events and bookkeeping / invoicing. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, relentless, good communicator and customer focused. This position is based in Lusaka, Zambia.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

High volume outbound prospecting activities via phone (50+ calls per day), email, LinkedIn, and other platforms to present Tumeny and qualify the prospect
Work collaboratively with Tumeny Sales Executives to develop and implement prospecting strategies
Qualify leads and schedule appointments for the sales team. Exceed weekly / monthly / quarterly quotas for new pipeline generated and meetings scheduled
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue targets
Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted outreach campaigns.
Maintain and expand your database of prospects. Keep accurate records of interactions in the database.
Participate in sales meetings to continuously improve skills.
Maintaining knowledge of industry trends, competitive technology/solutions and
Identifying potential new product and service opportunities for the company.

Become an expert on Tumeny’s capabilities and the market we serve.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of Tumeny’s solutions to prospects.
Identify and engage with potential customers to understand their needs and challenges.
Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
Build and nurture relationships with prospects to move them through the sales funnel.
Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on interactions.
Effectively work sales executives, consistently update activity and contact information within the database system and support weekly reporting efforts

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field
2-4 years of software/solutions sales experience in the financial technology (fintech) industry
Quota track record; true sales hunter mentality with experience prospecting, building pipeline
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and client-facing demo & presentation skills
Strength in building strong relationships with C-level executives and their teams.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude that is focused on success.
Ability to quickly learn and articulate complex concepts.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude, energetic and eagerness to learn.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus
Passion for fintech and a desire to make an impact in the industry
