Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carryout the sales of agro inputs and give technical guidance on how to use the agro inputs bought at the outlet you are attached to.
  • Conduct on the table farmer consultations and give technical advice accordingly.
  • Utilize your business acumen to attract new customers.
  • Update the inventory at the shop you are attached to once new items are received.
  • Work on building a book of business by calling potential customers or going to their business.
  • Check to see if orders are in stock.
  • Be familiar with a type of seeds, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides
  • Recommend a different and more efficient product when necessary
  • Regularly communicate any issues that require the attention to your Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in general agriculture or related program
  • Must be registered with Zambia Veterinary Council
  • Experience in an agro shop is required
  • Strong sales ability, business acumen, and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Good time management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
