SALES ANALYST

Vaima Talent Management centre invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Sales Analyst.

Overall Job Summary: The Sales Analyst will be responsible for analysing sales data, trends, and metrics to provide actionable insights to the sales team and management. The role involves developing and maintaining sales reports, forecasting future sales trends, and identifying opportunities for sales growth and efficiency improvements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyse, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain regular sales reports and dashboards for management.
• Perform competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
• Supporting Sales team in reports making
• Generating the monthly VSM analysis report
• Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and budgets.
• Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets and provide recommendations.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.
• Identify areas of improvement in the sales process and propose actionable strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive sales reports for management, highlighting key findings and insights.
• Present data and reports to senior management, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals. Evaluate existing sales processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage and optimize CRM systems and other sales tools.
• Establish and enforce data security protocols for customer information and sales data.
• Monitor the impact of incentive plans on sales performance and make adjustments to mitigate any risks associated with unintended consequences or motivational issues.
• Implement corrective measures to enhance forecasting precision, reducing the risk of overcommitting, or falling short on field debt targets.
• Regularly review the health of opportunities in the pipeline to minimize the risk of deal slippage or loss.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in sales databases and systems.
• Support on Marketing activities spend evaluations.
• Customer analysis to identify lost customers and corporate clients that need conversion to stockists
• Review macro-economic trends and advise management on patterns that might require a change of business operations.
• Report monthly on analysis of SKUs and brands & category performance
• Periodic price reviews based on data collection around pricing.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statics, Business Administration,
Finance, Marketing, or a related qualification from a
recognized University.
• Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret and
present complex data.
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and modelling
techniques.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a
Sales Analyst or similar role.
• Experience managing Sales Support teams with
demonstrated new sales track record & quota
attainment.
