About Us: We are a leading player in the manganese processing and steel manufacturing industry. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Kabwe, Zambia.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and proactive Safety Officer to oversee and enhance safety protocols within our manganese processing and steel manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial safety, relevant certifications, and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in line with industry regulations and company standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees to foster a culture of safety and awareness.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.
Collaborate with management to ensure safety practices are integrated into all operational processes.

Qualifications:

Certificate/ Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant safety certifications .
Membership with relevant safety bodies or professional organizations.
Proven experience in safety management within the industrial sector, preferably in manganese processing or steel manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:

Willingness to relocate to Kabwe, Zambia.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
