Lwitikila Bottling Company Limited is a business start-up located in Mpika District of Muchinga Province. The company boasts of hi-tech investment in pure water treatment and packaging and now seeks to recruit the following positions.

Job Title:  Reverse Osmosis Technician / Water Treatment Plant Technician

Location: Mpika District, Muchinga Province

Job Description

The Reverse Osmosis Technician will be responsible for the treatment of portable water to quality standards and quantities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce optimum quality, potable water
  • Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes

Daily / routine inspections, servicing and repair of components to include, but not be limited to:

  • Pumps
  • Water storage tanks
  • Chemical Treatment Controls and equipment
  • Circulation pumps
  • Valves
  • Motors
  • Organize work orders for maintenance needs within the Plant
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs outlining steps to be taken.

Ensure all records are maintained, including:

  • Daily logs
  • Change control documents
  • Weekly reports
  • OEM manuals
  • Inventories for RO Plant / Water Treatment
  • Recommend the purchase of parts, equipment, chemicals and goods as needed to ensure continuous operation of the plant with minimal shutdown due to component failure
  • Provide reports, information and updates to the Maintenance Team / Operations Manager as required

Key requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Water engineering or any related field
  • At least two (2) years experience in the similar role or Plant.
  • General knowledge of water treatment plant operations, policies, procedures and methods.
  • Knowledge of basic math and chemistry.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in the English language.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Good mechanical skills.
