Renewable Energy Engineer X 1

Reports To: Projects Development Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to design, implement, and optimize renewable energy systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in solar PV, wind energy, energy storage, and other sustainable energy solutions. This role involves a mix of technical design, project execution, and innovation to ensure efficient and cost-effective energy solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design renewable energy systems, including solar PV arrays, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid solutions.
• Conduct energy yield simulations and feasibility studies using software such as PVSyst, Homer, or similar tools.
• Create detailed electrical and mechanical layouts, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Assist in project planning, including site assessments, resource analysis, and system sizing.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of renewable energy systems to ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
• Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality execution.
• Perform performance monitoring and troubleshooting of installed systems.
• Analyze system performance data to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions for optimization.
• Research and integrate innovative technologies to enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all systems meet local and international regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for projects and stakeholders.
• Support permit and license applications by providing technical input.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their energy needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Provide technical support during client meetings, presentations, and proposals.
• Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality components and technologies.
• Stay updated on renewable energy trends, advancements, and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the development of innovative products and processes to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in designing and implementing renewable energy systems.
• Hands-on experience with solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and energy management systems.
• Proficiency in renewable energy software such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of renewable energy principles, technologies, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in project management and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with grid integration and hybrid energy systems.
