Job Description


Overview

The Regional Quality Assurance Officer (RQAO) is responsible for ensuring operational compliance of church partners at regional level to the Savings Group ministry methodology. The RQAO will work with the HOPE and partner staff with the aim of improving consistent quality of the ministry. The RQAO should be located in Choma, Chipata, or Luanshya.

Responsibilities
Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International through:

 

Monitoring of Compliance to HOPE’s methodology

Conduct savings group visit and produce field monitoring reports (FMRs)
Visit at least 2 savings groups per month
Attend and monitor the quality of at least 2 Monthly Mentoring Meetings (MMM)
Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes and procedures.
Attend and monitor the quality of CF trainings
Coordinate regional FC meetings and address quality issues
Reporting

Provide training on reporting tools and procedures
Assist with data validation at regional level to ensure data accuracy and reliability and provide oversight over data management tools
Compile and submit monthly and other required reports to the QAO
Collect and submit at least two stories of transformation per month
Risk Management

Create a risk profile and operational control gaps and engage in risk management discussions between HOPE and partners.
Provide recommendations to QAO and field staff in the mitigation of key operational risks.
Support the process of operational audits, and participate in the development of risk reduction plans
Spiritual Integration and Christian Witness

Actively participate in staff prayer and devotions, monthly meetings and retreats for HOPE staff in order to maintain a focus on the program’s Christ-centered mission and to promote spiritual growth among staff, facilitators and savings group members.
Ensure a personal healthy spiritual balance within family, work, and church life through the adoption of Biblical, personal, spiritual disciplines
Other Duties

Perform any other duties as assigned by the QAO
Qualifications
Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
Passionate commitment to HOPE’s mission and vision
Passion and ability to self-educate regarding savings group methodologies and systems.
A minimum of diploma in Development studies or related field
Good interpersonal skills
Minimum of 1 year work experience in data management or research
Fluent in spoken and written English and a language commonly spoken in the preferred location of operation – Choma, Chipata, Luansya
Good computer-based communication skills (Ms Word, Excel, power point) and ability to work with web-based data management applications
Highly flexible and creative, assertive, self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a team.
Willingness to travel within the region
