We are looking for a dedicated and professional individual who has the following skills and experience, to join our team in Zambia.

RC Drill Trainer

Location: Lumwana, Zambia

Responsibilities:

Operate RC drill rigs and training national crews whilst delivering safe drilling operations and client expectations
Consistently apply exceptional drilling practises and techniques
Ensure personal compliance with Company’s HSE regulations and site-specific rules
Training of local employees
Requirements:

7 years’ experience in RC drilling is required
At least 5 years in the mining or contracting fields
Experience operating and delivering training for Explorac 235, Explorac 220 tech and RC30 rigs with proven record in the latest global technology
RC drilling experience and mobile carrier mounted diamond drill rigs, IT forklift to move rigs
Proving Experience in either RC exploration or grade control drilling
Certificate II or Certificate III in Drilling Operations or other related certificate/ diploma (an advantage)
Booster and Auxiliary experience essential
Mechanical knowledge / background and a willingness to learn
Demonstrated leadership in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality
Demonstrated ability to empower local communities and hold “cultural awareness” in high regard
Working experience with diverse cultures is preferred and be able to communicate in English language would be an advantage
Ability to work in difficult environment
Positively promote the company’s business at every opportunity
Ensuring a high standard of personal presentation, behaviour and conduct at all times
Be able to pass a pre-employment medical
