Job Description;
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have the capability to price the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), prepare bidding documents, and possess strong expertise in civil engineering or quantity surveying.
Pricing the BOQ: Accurately price the Bill of Quantities for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Preparation of Bidding Documents: Compile comprehensive and competitive bidding documents.
– Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Develop cost estimates and budgets for projects.
– Contract Management: Oversee and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency.
– Project Evaluation: Evaluate and monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with cost and time projections.
-Liaison with Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Experience:
– A minimum of 10 years of work experience in quantity surveying or related fields.
– Proven track record in pricing BOQs and preparing bidding documents.
– Age Requirement: 30-40 years.
– Certification: Must possess a valid ERB (Engineering Registration Board) and EIZ (Engineering Institute of Zambia) certificate and license.
Skills and Competencies:
– Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices.
– Ability to analyze project specifications and financial data.
– Attention to detail for accuracy in pricing and documentation.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to resolve issues efficiently.
– Collaborative team player.
