Razel-Bec limited, a construction and civil engineering company which is currently undertaking a project of rehabilitating the plunge pool of the Kariba dam in Siavonga Zambia. The purpose of the contract is to perform, on behalf of the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA), works to reshape the plunge pool of the Kariba dam on the Zambezi River, which is a natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe:

QUALITY OFFICER (1)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow up of all site controls and inspection sheets, in line with works performed by the production teams.
• Ensure daily update of tracking files and follow-up tables for planning and projection purposes.
• Liaise with Laboratory teams for the testing of samples and eventual submission of results to Supervisors quality Engineer for approval.
• Coordinate with the Consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for Inspection.
• Assist in ensuring quality compliance of works with the technical specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate with the Technical Manager and site construction manager on all quality issues.
• Prepare all necessary documents and attachments for the inspection and testing requirement.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of test certificates from supplier / Follow up compliance of materials delivered.
• Participate in the formulation / Modification of methods as/when required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

a) A minimum of High School Certificate or any equivalent.

b) Degree in Civil Engineering.

c) Must be a valid Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

d) Must have recently graduated from university.

e) Proficiency in Microsoft package.

f) Good communication skills and attention to detail.

g) Must be willing to relocate to Siavonga.
