Duration: 1 year (renewable) fixed position.
Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) is looking for people to fill vacancies for the field office based in Sioma, Western Province.
EFZ is a voluntary Christian church mother body registered under the Registrar of Societies in Zambia as a non-profit organization. EFZ was awarded a grant from the Scottish Government through NIRAS to implement a Climate Just Communities (CJC) project in Shangombo and Sioma districts. The project is focusing on intervention that aim to build community resilience against impacts of climate change.
1. Project Coordinator (01)
Overall reporting to: Executive Director
Programme reporting to: Programmes Manager
Responsibilities
- Coordinate effective supervision of project interventions in the district
- Ensure integration of all programs with the local stakeholders including district government officials and traditional leaders in the district.
- Coordinate participatory monitoring and evaluation of the program implementation.
- Coordinate negotiation of smooth handover of completed programs to relevant bodies.
- Facilitate smooth phase out both by program and from the ward as deemed necessary.
- Liaison and network with all local stakeholders to enhance relationship and program ownership and implementation.
- Coordination with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
- Submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans
- Lead and coordinate the documentation and sharing of program best practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience required
- Minimum Bachelor’s in Natural Resources, Agricultural Sciences, Business Administration or any related field from a recognized University. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 7 years’ experience in project management and grant management
- Relevant experience with Climate Change related projects
- Proven ability to develop and monitor work plans and budgets
- Experience in writing reports, proposals and donor documents
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and to work with a diverse staff
- Proven written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Must be self-reliant, resourceful, good problem-solver, good humored, and flexible
- Be able to communicate in Lozi and hold a valid driver’s license
