Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

Sicom Mining Services Limited* based in Kitwe and having its operation in Solwezi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, managing tender processes, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and maintain records of transactions.
2. To conduct a cost benefit analysis of planned purchases.
3. Ensure efficient and effective management of stores
4. Ensure zero price mismatch on purchase and service requisitions.
5. Run daily reports on outstanding requisitions and expedite deliveries.
6. Maintain records of requisitions and contracts.
7. Act as a liaison between end-users and contractors.
8. Negotiate contract terms and conditions.
9. Prepare and oversee contract execution.
10. Monitoring the stock levels to avoid stock – out.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate.
2. Diploma or Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
4. Certified member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
6. Valid Driving License
7. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
