Job Description
Massbreed Investments Zambia Limited, trading as FAW Zambia is a leading commercial vehicle dealership specializing in the supply, delivery, service, and maintenance of FAW Trucks, Golden dragon buses, and Lovol earthmoving equipment. Our services run across Zambia and the SADC region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Vendor Management
– Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers.
– Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable deals.
– Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and service standards.
– Procurement Process
– Manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to delivery.
– Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications and pricing.
– Evaluate and compare quotations to select the best options in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
– Inventory and Stock Management:
– Work closely with the inventory team to ensure timely procurement of goods to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations.
– Track inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment.
– Compliance and Documentation:
– Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
– Cost Management:
– Monitor and control procurement budgets, striving for cost savings and efficiencies without compromising quality.
– Conduct market research and analysis to keep abreast of trends and opportunities for cost reductions.
– Collaboration:
– Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
– Resolve any issues related to procurement, delivery, or supplier performance in a proactive manner.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and supply, or a related field.
– Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
– Proven experience (3-5 years) in the motor Industry
– Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of procurement regulations, procedures, and best practices.
– Knowledge on Truck parts
– – Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Valid Drivers License
