Job Description


Overall Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the office of the Director/CEO the Principle Officer – M&E will be responsible for monitoring progress, analyzing data and evaluating outcomes to ensure that the Training Centre is achieving its desired goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the M&E system in line with the needs of KGRTC operations
  • Undertake effective monitoring and evaluation of the Training Centre’s activities in order to assess performance and recommend interventions for improvement.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation tools and systems in order to support implementation of remedial measures.
  • Conduct analysis of quantitative as well as qualitative data on all operational inputs, outputs and outcomes.
  • Develop and review M&E policies to guide implementation of procedures.
  • Conduct mid-term and annual performance review of the KGRTC Strategic Plan in order to facilitate implementation of appropriate interventions and support achievement of set objectives.
  • Supervise and coordinate application of monitoring tools to track performance.
  • Prepare and disseminate M&E reports on the progress of programmes or strategy implementation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements;

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • At least three (3) years work experience in a similar role.
  • Must be a self starter.

Specific Skill Requirements

The candidate must possess the following specific skills

  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools.
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Good organization and planning skills
