EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – PRINCIPAL OR LEAD ENGINEER
We are looking for a Principal or Lead Engineer to join our team in Zambia.
Minimum requirements:
- BEng or BSc Civil Engineering Degree
- MSc Eng (advantageous)
- Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia and registered with the Engineering Registration Board
- More than 15 years’ experience in a civil engineering industry, with mining experience as an advantage. Experience in handling large civil/water/power/infrastructure/mining projects
The role requires:
- Good project management skills
- Experience in managing people and/or medium sized teams
- Good contract law experience (FIDIC etc.)
- Managing of project finances
- Travel within Zambia and to project locations from time to time
- Networking and managing business development initiatives as the person will be expected to procure new projects
- Technical work on projects as well as review of work of others in a mentoring role
- A good command of the English language
