Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join the team. As a Pharmacist at the newly established pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications while providing personalized care and guidance to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor prescription inventory levels and place orders for medications and supplies as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacy practice and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy.
- Degree in Pharmacy will be an added advantage.
- One (1) to two (2) years’ progressive experience
- Must be registered with Health Practitioners Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosage forms, and pharmacokinetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
