Lwitikila Bottling Company Limited is a business start-up located in Mpika District of Muchinga Province. The company boasts of hi-tech investment in pure water treatment and packaging and now seeks to recruit the following position.
Job Title: Packing, bottling and labelling machine operator
Location: Mpika District, Muchinga Province
Job Description
Packing, bottling and labelling machine operators operate and monitor machines which pack and label various products, or fill different bottle sizes with products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the water bottling line machinery to ensure efficient production and packaging of bottled water.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to identify and address any malfunctions or deviations from standard operating procedures.
- Monitor quality control parameters including bottle fill levels, cap placement and label accuracy to maintain product quality.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of equipment and production areas to meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and address mechanical issues promptly.
- Record production data including downtime output and quality metrics and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Operate packaging equipment
- Install product label on all products.
- Inspect products for quality control and report any issues
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Key requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in any field or Production Management will be an added advantage.
- At least two (2) years experience in the similar role or Plant.
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining production machinery preferably in a bottling or packaging environment.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Excellent planning skills.
