Job Description
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing day to day equipment usage for the project.
Responsibilities and expectations include:
- Organise, manage and tag all equipment assets
- Carry out weekly field data reconciliations
- Oversee the cleaning and updating of all school tablets during each term break and as needed
- Issue and track equipment for management staff
- Clean and update staff equipment at least four times per year and as need is identified
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, including researching fixes online and documenting all processes
- Issue temporary devices
- Prepare equipment for repair and follow it through the process until it returns
- Track equipment expenditures
- Conduct stock takes
- Produce accurate internal and external data reports
- Communicate equipment shortfalls and issues as they arise
- Keep all equipment/software how-to guides and care and usage guides up-to-date
- Oversee and continuously improve the technology training program for new and existing staff
- Conduct 1-to-1 trainings upon request from any department
- Any other tasks as need arises
Requirements:
- Candidates should have at least a relevant college or university qualification from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 1-year relevant work experience
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal in English and Chinyanja
- Demonstrable computer skills: typing, e-mail, file storage and sharing
- MS Office capabilities: must be well versed in Excel and Word
- Demonstrable data entry, cleaning and analysis capabilities
- Other tech skills are a plus
- Attention to detail, integrity, reliability and punctuality
- The ability to troubleshoot and provide reasonable solutions as problems arise
This position is based in Katete, Eastern Province.
