VACANCY : Network OPEX Manager

JOB PURPOSE
To control and manage the Energy OPEX for the network nodes spread out in the country through innovation and global best practices.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
• To Plan OPEX Cost – Annual Operating plan (AOP) for entire network portfolio (Mobile, National long distance and International long distance Networks and Passive costs).
• Monthly / Quarterly Flash and Forecast reports and mitigating unbudgeted aspects.
• Strict vetting of reported OPEX and identifying volume / rate / efficiency variances.
• Monitor, analyse, and control of the OPEX Cost to Achieve the AOP.
• Periodic review with Operations and Maintenance Head for mitigation and action of budget outliers.
• Monthly review with Infra providers, Finance and SCM for tracking and cost alignment.
• Enable Airtel to become lowest cost producer in the world. Through Cost innovation & best practice replication & optimising Energy Cost and Optimizing energy OPEX without impacting network quality / Customer satisfaction.
• Work on special projects as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• A technical degree/telecom background is a must.
• Versatile experience in Electrical infrastructure like Gensets, Batteries, LT Panels, Energy efficiency features, solar panels, electrical Product specifications etc.
• A good understanding of Service Contracts interpretations, latest telecom technologies and products to bring cost efficiency best in the class.
Relevant Experience:
• 6-8 years’ experience handling contracts, Tower Companies, controlling the CAPEX and OPEX, cost effective deliveries in the telecommunication industry.
• At least 2 – 3 years management experience.
