Project Background
Cheshire Homes Society of Zambia with support from Swedish AID through Financial Sector Deeping (FSD)
Zambia is implementing a project on Financial Inclusion which aims at ensuring that the undeserved and
low-income segments of society with disabilities are catered for with knowledge and skills on financial
inclusion, as emphasized in the 8th National Development plan which stresses on not leaving anyone
behind in each and every developmental endeavor.
This project aims to provide financial education to over 750 school-aged children living with disabilities
through financial literacy campaigns, create and support over 30 saving groups that will reach over 750
caregivers, and target 1,100 persons living with disabilities in the 6 districts of Eastern Province, namely;
Chipata, Chadiza, Sinda, Katete, Petauke and Nyimba. The partners on this project are but are not limited
to the following;
- Ministry of Community Development and Social Services (MCDS)
- Ministry of Education (MoE)
- Zambia agency for persons with disability (ZAPD)
Job title: Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning Intern
Job brief:
Under the supervision of the office of the Project Coordinator, the monitoring evaluation & learning intern will support the Team in needs relating to MEL and precisely; updating of the Projects Primary Master Database, conduct data quality validation, analyses, generation of reports and insights from the data submissions, and anything as requested by the supervisor.
Methodology
The Monitoring Evaluation & Learning intern will ensure the data been received from the Community Volunteers based at district level are accurate and complete before inputting them into the Projects Primary Master Database and where necessary follow up with Field Community Volunteers on unclear data entries. Once data quality validation checks have been completed, the Intern will need to generate data visualizations (Presentation) based on the key performance indicators.
Duration
The MEL intern will be engaged for a period for a period of six (06) months with a possibility of an extension.
