Materials Coordinator X 1
At Grizzly Mining Limited, we are committed to providing our service departments with the highest quality products and services. To do this, we rely on the expertise of our materials coordinator to procure and manage the materials needed for production. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement. They will be responsible for maintaining relationships with internal vendors, external vendors and ensuring that materials are delivered on time and within budget. In addition, they will be responsible for managing inventory levels and developing strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date records of all materials, tools, and equipment in the warehouse
Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and stored in the correct location
Conduct regular inventory checks to identify any shortages or overages
Coordinate with purchasing department to place orders for new supplies as needed
Act as the goal between procurement and stores to make sure that regular follow ups are made to effect timely deliveries
Act as a goal between customers and Grizzly Mining Limited to ensure goods and services are delivered according to the contractual lead time, obligation and of the required specifications
Track shipments of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy
Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed
Follow all safety protocols when handling materials
Report any damage or discrepancies to supervisor immediately
Train new employees on proper material handling procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in business, logistics, or related field
3-5 years experience in materials management, supply chain, or similar role
Working knowledge of Sage/Priority systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Professional certification in CIPS or similar program
Experience with lean manufacturing principles
Multi-lingual abilities
Advanced computer skills, including Excel macros and SQL
