Job Description
JOB OPPORTUNITY
Our Client, Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICCL) is looking for an experienced and dedicated Manager – Quality Assurance and Risk Management to ensure excellence and safety in all their operations and events.
Job Purpose
To develop and maintain effective quality management systems, conduct thorough risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and be crucial in ensuring compliance with international event management standards and safeguarding MICCL reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
- Establishes and enforces quality standards and procedures for conferences and events.
- Conducts risk assessments and implements mitigation strategies.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure risk controls are in place.
- Prepares emergency preparedness plans and conducts staff training.
- Stays updated on international regulations and best practices for event management.
- Analyses quality and risk-related data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Communicates key quality and risk information to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a business-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a comparable organization.
Attributes and Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in risk management frameworks, quality assurance systems, and international event management standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders in multicultural settings.
- Proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and emergency preparedness, with a focus on maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
