Introduction…

A vacancy exists for a Management Accountant based in Ndola Zambia, reporting to the Financial Controller. In this role you will be responsible for analysis of key financial information to optimize financial planning to assist business managers with financial decision-making.  Prepare financial reports and implement strategies to reduce business operational and production costs.

This role also requires strong background in managing taxes such as VAT processing on ZRA portal.

Key Accountabilities…

• Manage the company’s finances according to set policies and international financial reporting standards.
• Oversee the processing of accounting transactions and implementation of prescribed Linde Group processes
•  Develop and implement management accounts and KPI’s to manage performance
• Act as a key interface with Finance Regional Process Owners in the Group
• Preparation of monthly as well as annual financial statements.
• Ensuring that taxation (VAT, Corporation tax, WHT, custom & excise and other taxes) are correctly calculated and paid in accordance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).
• Responsible for internal and external financial audits.
• Preparation of monthly forecasts and responsible for preparing the annual budget.
• Ensure Finance department complies with SHEQ policies.

Skills Required…

• Good knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting in a similar environment.
• Proficiency in business management and accounting software.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
• Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Superb organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
• Excellent skills in Excel and MS Office Package

Required Qualifications / Experience…

• CA/CIMA/ACCA or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
• Certified management accountant preferred.
• Full ZICA membership.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a management accountant in a related business.
