1. MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT-HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR X 1 -LUMWANA SITE
Position Description
This position reports to the Project Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
- Directing and managing the activities of the operations & the workshop (repair and maintenance) team to ensure all activities comply with Company’s policies and procedures.
- Updating of equipment status, planning of equipment repair and overhaul, identify inefficiencies in processes and make improvement.
- Analyse call-back rates, initiate corrective and preventive measurements.
- Monitoring outcomes within budgets & to achieve efficiencies & productivities.
- Manage and maximize utilization rate on current fleet of equipment/ assets owned by the Company.
- Direct activities to limit cost, improve accuracy, safety and to provide/maintain good department service levels.
- Manage Safety related issues and develop action plans to rectify.
- To ensure that all employees, including sub-contractors and any related personnel understand and conform the Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Management System.
- Any other projects as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience - Grade 12 certificate.
- Min Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years technical experience in engineering or related industry at supervisory level
- Strong technical competence
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Optimistic and possess ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Good Interpersonal skills and customer oriented
2. MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR-HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR X 1- KALUMBILA SITE
Position Description
This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
- Manage, organize, and control an efficient mechanical engineering workshop including the management of Technicians.
- Allocate the work daily to the Mechanical Technicians, monitoring progress and inspecting completed work to ensure the required standards are achieved.
- Provide a mechanical engineering advisory service to clients.
- Ensure all lifting gear and workshop equipment is maintained to the highest possible standard.
- Manage the administration of the mechanical workshop. Ensure all logbooks and departmental records are effectively maintained to enable stock control, ordering of parts and all other workshop functions operate efficiently.
- Work within the Workshop on a regular basis, to retain/update mechanical skills & knowledge.
- Be prepared to step in and assist Mechanical Technicians in times of emergencies & undertake on the job training with Mechanical Technicians should it be required.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma (Heavy Equipment Repair)
- Five years experience in mechanical works on heavy duty machines including heavy trucks and similar.
- Computer literate.
- Strong technical competence
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good communications skills in English.
