Position MAINTENANCE OFFICER.

Bangweulu Beachfront Village is seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team as an Electrician/Plumber/Handyman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance work, with a commitment to excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

I. Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, including wiring, switchboards, and troubleshooting.

II. Manage solar panel installations and complex interlinking with ZESCO interchange connections.

III. Conduct in-house maintenance of all electrical appliances.

IV. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.

V. Handle general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.

VI. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

VII. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.

Qualifications

I. Trade Certificate/Diploma or higher in Electrical and Plumbing from a TEVETA-accredited institution.

II. Active EIZ membership with a valid license.

III. Proven experience in electrical and plumbing work (3–5 years preferred), especially in a lodge or hospitality environment.

IV. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

V. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

VI. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
