PATH is a partner to the National Malaria Elimination Centre (NMEC) in the effort to control and eliminate malaria in Zambia. PATH is partnering with the NMEC to implement a Phase III large-scale trial of a promising new tool for malaria vector control, the attractive targeted sugar bait (ATSB). The trial is operating in Western Province in the districts of Kaoma, Nkeyema, and Luampa from 2021-2023. The trial is operating in 70 study clusters with activities including: household installation and monitoring of ATSBs, cohort study of children age 5-14 years, household survey, mosquito collections for entomological monitoring, community engagement activities, and qualitative research.

PATH seeks a Logistics Assistant for the ATSB study. The Logistics Assistant will work closely with the Logistics Officer and Project Assistant to support office operations with a specific focus on supply, stock, and equipment management and general office support.

Responsibilities:

Maintain up-to-date electronic records (Excel/Smartsheet) that summarize usage and remaining stock of all project supplies.
Maintain up-to-date electronic records (Excel) for all project equipment, including but not limited to phones, tablets, bicycles.
Conduct supply inventory (manual count) on a routine basis.
Work with workstream leads to conduct inventory of equipment issued to project team members a routine basis.
Ensure documentation for equipment theft, damage, and loss.
Support workstream leads in the printing, scanning, and filing of study documents.
Assist with additional tasks related to office operations and logistics as needed.
Assist in some administrative functions such as photocopying and other related duties.
Perform any other duties related to the above as assigned by Supervisor

Required Experience

Certificate in relevant field with proof of valid work experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting supply and/or equipment management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel required with demonstrated experience using Excel for tracking purposes.
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.

Must have legal authorization to work in Zambia
