Job Title: Lodge Manager
Location: King Lewanika Lodge, Liuwa Plain National Park, Zambia
Reports To: General Manager
Salary: ZMW35,000 Gross PCM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Lodge Manager to lead the guest experience at King Lewanika Lodge. The Lodge Manager will be primarily responsible for hosting guests and ensuring their stay is seamless and exceptional. This role involves delivering extraordinary service, overseeing experiential dining and activities, and continuously delighting guests with memorable experiences. The Lodge Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will act as the second in command in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Hosting:Provide a warm and welcoming environment for all guests, ensuring each guest feels valued and well-cared for throughout their stay.
2. Guest Experience: Design and deliver exceptional experiences for guests, including personalized activities, unique dining experiences, and impeccable service.
3. Customer Service: Utilize superior customer service skills to address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with efficiency and professionalism.
4. Activity Coordination: Oversee and coordinate daily lodge activities, ensuring guests have access to memorable and immersive experiences within the lodge and the surrounding area.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with lodge staff to ensure smooth operations and high standards of service. Lead by example and provide guidance and support to team members.
6. Decision Making: Employ customer service-driven decision-making logic to handle any issues or changes in guest plans, ensuring solutions align with the lodge’s high standards.
7. Second in Command: Act as the General Manager’s second in command when the General Manager is absent, taking on additional responsibilities and ensuring continuity of operations and guest experience.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in a high-end hospitality or lodge management role, with a focus on guest hosting and exceptional customer service.
Skills:
- Fantastic people skills with a genuine passion for hosting and ensuring an extraordinary guest experience.
- Strong customer service abilities, with a track record of using customer-focused decision-making logic.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also effectively leading and motivating others.
- Knowledge of the Lozi language is a distinct advantage but not mandatory.
