Job Description
Hygeia Global University College is excited to announce an opening for a Librarian. We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage and enhance our library resources and services, supporting academic excellence and fostering a love for learning.
Position: Part-Time/Full-Time Librarian
Location: Kitwe or Ndola
Minimum Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Masters degree in Library and Information Science or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in library management or a similar role.
Certification: ZAQA certified.
Location: Must reside in Kitwe or Ndola for ease of commute and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and organize library resources, ensuring easy access for students and staff.
Develop and maintain the library catalog, databases, and other information systems.
Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources effectively.
Plan and implement library programs, workshops, and events to promote information literacy.
Ensure the library’s adherence to academic and professional standards.
Oversee library budgets, procurement, and inventory.
