International company OKRO MINING LIMITED is looking for the position of a Legal Counsel.

About the Company:  Established in 2024, OKRO MINING LIMITED is operating in the mining and processing sector of minerals.

Employment type: Full-time/ part-time ( subject to negotiation)

Location: Lusaka, Republic of Zambia

Main Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to all departments of the Company;
• Review, analyze, negotiate and draft various legal documents;
• Advise on licensing and regulatory matters;
• Assess relevant legal risks and ensure to provide legal advice on the mitigation measures thereof;
• Represent the company before the third parties (including regulatory bodies);
• Perform other legal duties assigned by the direct supervisor and/or the management of the Company;
• Collaborate with external legal consultants.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience of working as a lawyer in a law firm or a company with proven experience in corporate/commercial law and contracting;
• Proven experience of working with regulatory bodies and/or licensing/regulatory matters;
• Proven experience in gold and others mineral mining/ processing licensing and regulatory affairs;
• Bachelor degree in law (Master’s degree in law or a degree issued by an EU or US institution is considered an advantage);
• Fluency in English language (Knowledge of other languages is considered an advantage);
• Highly motivated;
• International profile, able to work in a flexible, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment;
