Job Description


As a Junior Accounts Associate, you will support the Finance department by working on client accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with various accounting and financial tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills while contributing to the growth and success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with managing and maintaining client accounts, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Support the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.
Perform data entry for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Work closely with senior team members to analyse financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Liaise with clients to resolve any queries or discrepancies related to their accounts.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and ensure client accounts are in compliance.
Assist in other financial or administrative tasks as needed to support the Finance team.

Accurate and timely computation and preparation of PAYE, NHIMA and NAPSA Schedules

Submission and payment of NAPSA , PAYE and NHIMA to respective government authorities.

Help resolve accounting problems and discrepancies.

Attend to all organizational filing

Key Requirements

Ability to analyse and solve problems.
Fair understanding of the Zambian tax laws.
Working knowledge of computers and accounting software.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with accounting principles.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA).

Qualifications:

CA Application Level or ACCA Level II qualification.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related role, preferably within a business management or advisory firm.
