EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Intervention Monitors

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Zambians for thirteen (13) positions of Intervention Monitors under the Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EBA) Project for a period of one(01) year, to be stationed in following wards and associated Districts; Chitanda Ward, Lukanga Ward and Mukubwe Ward of Chibombo Ngabwe and Kapiri Mposhi Districts in Central Province; Kasaba Ward of Chifunabuli District, Isamba Ward of Samfya District, Ncheta, Nkutila, Lunga and Nsalushi Wards of Lunga District in Luapula Province; Kambashi and Bumba Wards of Chilubi District, Bwalinde Ward of Lupososhi District and Isangano Ward of Luwingu District in Northern Province; and Munikashi Ward of Kanchibiya District and Lulimala Ward of Lavushi Manda District in Muchinga Province.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be working under the overall supervision of the Social Economic Planner at the Local Town Council and the EBA Project Office, Lusaka. The main purpose of the position is to provide support towards the implementation of project activities at Ward level. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

Below are the job specifications for the position:

1. Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate-O Levels;

2. Candidate being an Ex-official of the Ward Development Committee is an added advantage.

3. Able to read and write;

4. Evidence of having undertaken community mobilisation activities for any developmental work within their community will be an added advantage;

5. Good communication, coordination and liaison skills;

6. Fluency in the local language used in the area of operation will be an added advantage; and

7. Pro-active, team-player, able to work in a multi-cultural environment;

NOTE: 

– Applicants must be residents of the selected Wards

– Candidates must only apply to one Ward per District

– Multiple applications will lead to Automatic Disqualification
