MISSION
Job Summary: Responsible for replenishment and supply stock for both MRS and RDT for the Central region. Key focus is to optimize inventory by supporting both supply chain and division on stocking rules, policies and preferred transportation mode as per set Targets.
Mission: To have an efficient Inventory management System that meets Inventory COGS and Availability targets as set per the Division.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily confirmation and analysis of orders in Inventory management system GIM.(Global Inventory Management system) and GPS.
- Ensuring adherence to the stocking policy when operating in GIM/GPS
- Responsible for Core Purchasing either through GIM/GPS or manually processing of Purchase orders to the DC’s for all Divisions.
- Identify failing processes. Develop and implement new processes to eliminate non-conforming processes. Conducting surveys, forming focus groups and benchmark best practices. Analyzing customer survey information, develop improvement plans and implement improvements
- Management of inventory levels and supply chain costs through the analysis of inventory movements as well as reporting on trends
- Support demand forecast process & review of stock control as per stocking policy.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of centralized inventory in Central Region.
- Analyze monthly stock reports by product line and by warehouse to reduce excess
- Support business control to provide provision and reports for overstocked and slow moving stock
- Review surplus returns to Product Company for all product lines
- Review calculations of SAC1 parts and putting actions in place to increase availability
- Inventory reporting (Working Capital Meetings, Management Meetings, Supply Chain Review Meetings)
- Review pre-planning of stock for machine rebuilds.
- Determine customer service requirements by maintaining contact and building relationships with Internal & External Customers
- Supports Item Master maintenance
- Supply reports as requested by Regional Supply Chain management; BLM’s, Parts and Service Managers
- Review of recommended spare parts list for all new and existing machines and ordering accordingly
- Maintenance of stock requests by BLM’s, Parts and Service Managers
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities
- Performs any other related work as assigned by the supervisor.
Sheq/ Operational Responsibilities
- To attend SHEQ meetings
- To wear correct PPE where necessary.
- To ensure own safety and that of others.
- To ensures compliance to legal requirements.
- To report to all accidents/incidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensures good housekeeping and safe working and standard operating procedures

Knowledge
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 Years of Supply Chain Experience.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Knowledge of ERP packages
- Skillful MS Excel user.
- Thorough understanding of supply chain processes.
- Thorough understanding of domestic and international sales order throughput processes.
- Thorough understanding in logistic and distribution processes and compliance.
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and written.
Formal Education Requirement
- BS in Business or Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Years Of Experience Necessary
REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT
Normal office environment for the majority of time. Some exposure to customer centers, distributors and or customer sites including but not limited to mines may be required.
