Job Description
The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the following vacancies:
POSITION: Human Resource Officer (1)
JOB PURPOSE: To undertake the provision of human resources in order to facilitate smooth operations of the Agency.
KEY RESULT AREAS
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Human Resources Management
Undertakes efficiently, the Human Resource functions in order to enhance staff morale and optimize utilization of human resource in the Agency
Human Resource Development
Undertakes effectively, the planning and implementation of staff training and Development functions in order to optimize utilization of human resource in the Agency
Industrial Relations
Undertakes the implementation of industrial relations policies in order to achieve industrial harmony in the Agency.
Payroll Management
Undertakes timely the maintenance of the payroll in order to facilitate payment of salaries and other allowances
Staff Wellness HIV/AIDS Programmes
Undertakes effectively the development and implementation of staff wellness and HIVIAIDS programmes in order to promote a healthy workforce.
Policy
Undertakes regularly the interpretation and implementation of Human Resource policies in order to provide guidelines.
Records Management
Supervises effectively, the provision of records management services in order to ensure safe storage and timely retrieval of information
Performance Management
Supervises and undertakes timely development of work plans and implementations of the Performance appraisal in order to monitor and evaluate the performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of B.A Public Administration, Human Resources Management, or its equivalent.
- Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
- Relevant minimum work experience of 2 years will be an added advantage
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Able to write technical and analytical reports
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Good Interpersonal skills Psychological/Social skills
- Computer literate
- Integrity Confidentiality Quantitative and Qualitative Analytical Skills
