Job Description
Job Purpose
The HR Manager will be responsible for designing and evaluating career paths, overseeing all HR functions and Implementing strategies that meet the Company goals. The lead in the formulation of talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs and formulate career development plans. Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce our position as an equal-opportunity employer.
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
- Ensure our hiring, onboarding and management procedures are effective for diverse groups
- Take the lead employer branding efforts (like recruitment marketing)
- Evaluate training and development programs
- Develop HR policies and procedures for the entire group
- Analyze the effectiveness of our HR procedures and tools
- Ensure HR plans align with our mission and business objectives
- Plan and Coordinate a smooth onboarding process.
- Take charge of resolving Employer and Employee conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
- Carrying out necessary administrative duties (Transport and Logistics)
- Help Line Managers in Conducting performance and wage reviews.
- Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
- Creating clear and concise reports.
- Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
- Take the lead in handling workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination procedures.
- Maintaining employee and workplace privacy.
- Train and Mentor HR Offices and Admin Staff

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 6 -10 years of HR experience in the same or similar capacity working for either a Mine or Hotel
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Experience in educating and coaching staff.
- Must have proven experience in succession planning
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
- Must be experienced in HR strategic planning
- Must have vast experience in Employee Contract Management
- Good understanding of the Zambian labour legislation
- Must be a member of the ZIHRM
