Job Description
HEAD OF STUDIES x 3
Job Title: Head of Studies
Location: Chilundu District x1
Sinda District x 1
Ndola District x 1
Reports to: School Support Officer
JOB PURPOSE: To maintain and foster key strategies that promote excellence in the quality of the Education provided, and to work with the Head Teacher, the Deputy Head Teacher, HoDs and teaching staff to sustain and enhance the standing of the PEAS school.

Personal Specifications
- Ability to actively promote the school’s vision and ethos.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to contribute fully to the life of a busy school.
- Ability to exercise sensitive pastoral and academic leadership and maintain good relationships with staff.
- An effective manager and leader of people.
- Efficient organizational skills.
- An excellent classroom practitioner and a qualified and experienced secondary school teacher
- Effective communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
- Appropriate attitudes to the use of authority and maintaining discipline.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 O’ levels including English and merit in the Teaching subject.
- Degree in Education (Secondary teaching)
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
- minimum 3 years of leadership: head teacher or deputy
- Teaching Council of Zambia registration
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the subject area curriculum and related pedagogy.
- 3 years’ Experience working in the education sector in Zambia at the secondary level as the HoD or Deputy Head Teacher
- Demonstrated ability to lead others and offer academic direction in the school.
- PEAS value aligned.
- Championing the PEAS Child Protection policy
- Good communication and presentation skills
- must be above 35 and below 50 years.
